SAN FRANCISCO// Tiger Woods insists that he can still overhaul Jack Nicklaus as golf's all time majors winner.
Nicklaus claimed 18 major titles during a 24-year career - with Woods sitting four behind him.
But he believes that even though he's now 36, he has plenty of time to pass Nicklaus in the record books.
"I figure it's going to take a career, but I have plenty of time," Woods said during a Google Plus chat with fans at the Olympic Course, site of next month's US Open.
Woods has not won a major since the 2008 US Open and has been nagged by knee injuries in recent years. Until a triumph in March at Bay Hill, he had not won a PGA title since his infamous sex scandal erupted 17 months earlier.
This week, Woods will play at the Memorial, a key tune-up for the US Open at Muirfield Village, a course built by Nicklaus.
Woods said he is trying to strengthen his faith in swing changes made with coach Sean Foley.
