1 – Matt Kuchar, the American Ryder Cup player, will be making his first appearance at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
15 – Rory McIlroy will be making his Tour comeback 15 weeks after last playing, at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland in October
13 – World No 9 Henrik Stenson is among a small group of players to have played every Abu Dhabi tournament. He will be teeing it up for a 13th time this weekend.
