Zlatan Ibrahimovic injured during training with AC Milan - reports

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reported to have picked up an Achilles tendon injury that could put the AC Milan forward's season at risk.

The Gazzetta Dello Sport reported that the Swede hurt his calf during training but other publications claimed that the injury may also involve his Achilles tendon, which could rule him out for weeks.

Ibrahimovic, 38, rejoined the seven-time European champions during this season's winter transfer window. He suffered a calf injury shortly after signing in January.

He returned to Italy two weeks ago from Sweden, where he had been training with Hammarby, in order to prepare for a possible return to Serie A action.

Serie A has been suspended since March 9 and the government is due to decide on Thursday if and when it can restart. AC Milan, seventh in the table with 36 points, began training again last week.
