Few players epitomise a regional club like Troy Deeney.

In almost a decade at the Hertfordshire club the powerful striker has helped establish the Hornets as a fixture in the Premier League and scored more than 100 goals.

Since being restored to the team under new manager Nigel Pearson, a team that looked dead and buried at Christmas have climbed out of the relegation zone with three wins and two draw in their last five matches with Deeney contributing three goals.

But he is not the highest paid player at Vicarage Road.

According to Spotrac, an online sports team and player contract website, club captain Deeney's annual salary is £3.38 million (Dh16.1m), or £65,000 a week.

So which Watford players earn more than the 31-year-old club legend?

Above is a photo gallery of 20 Watford players and their weekly salaries.
