Few could have predicted Liverpool's meek surrender of their Premier League title.

After winning it so impressively in 2019/20 - smashing records along the way including the biggest winning margin - Jurgen Klopp's side are currently seventh in the table, and a whopping 25 points off leaders Manchester City.

Who is Liverpool's highest paid player?

Thiago Alcantara and Mohamed Salah are tied as Liverpool's highest paid player, according to Spotrac, an online sports team and player contract website.

Thiago moved to Anfield at the start of the campaign after seeing out his contract at Bayern Munich. Salah moved to Merseyside in 2017 for a fee of around £43 million from Roma. Both players are reported to earn £200,000 a week ($267,000) and an annual salary of £10,400,000 at the club.
