Manchester City have slowly edged closer to the leading teams in the Premier League after an indifferent start to the 2020-21 campaign.

Ahead of the electric clash at Chelsea on Sunday night, they are only seven points behind leaders Liverpool with two games in hand.

It promises to be a fascinating second half of the season, with Jurgen Klopp's champions out in front despite amassing 13 fewer points than after the same amount of games last time around.

But City want the Premier League crown back, and are looking like they have the players to mount a strong challenge.

A mixture of experienced stars and new talent coming through, and always a huge goal threat in all-time record scorer Sergio Aguero, plus Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and youngsters Ferran Torres and Phil Foden.

The photo gallery above reveals the weekly salaries of the Manchester City squad in descending order, and shows Ageuro is not the top earner as his contract draws to a close in the summer. That honour belongs to the mercurial Belgian De Bruyne, who takes home £350,000 a week, or an annual salary of £18.2 million ($24.9m).
