It came as little surprise to most when Manchester United announced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had earned the manager's position on a permanent basis.

United's form has dramatically improved since the Norwegian took over on a caretaker basis since Jose Mourinho left the club in December.

The positive results have been laden with goals and an uptick in excitement compared to the previous regime.

Can Solskjaer qualify for the Champions League?

He may have been given the job full time but there is still a huge challenge ahead with United sitting fifth in the table, two points behind Arsenal. The top four qualify for the Champions League.

United face Watford on Saturday and have the huge obstacle of Barcelona approaching in the Champions League quarter final.
