The first 2018 World Cup match of Day 8 ended all square when Denmark and Australia played out a 1-1 draw at the Samara Arena.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen scored one of the goals of the tournament to open the scoring for Denmark before Australia captain Mile Jedinak stepped up to slot home from the penalty spot to ensure the points were shared.
