Some of the most recognisable figures in football have passed on their best wishes to the people of the UAE as the nation celebrates its 49th National Day on Wednesday.
In an Instagram video shared by the Dubai Sports Council, Chelsea and Ivory Coast great Didier Drogba said: "To all my brothers and sisters from the UAE, I wish you an amazing National Day."
Former Barcelona and Portugal forward Luis Figo, ex-Ajax and Netherlands striker Patrick Kluivert, former Barcelona and France defender Eric Abidal, and Sulley Muntari, who played in midfield for Inter Milan, AC Milan and Ghana, all shared similar messages .
The video follows a heartwarming clip released by the Dubai Sports Council on Tuesday that showed the late Diego Maradona taking part in the 42nd National Day festivities in 2013.
Argentine football legend Maradona, who was a long-time resident of Dubai, died last month at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack.
