Cristiano Ronaldo is as famed for his physical condition as he is for his football skills. Just one glance at his chiseled physique shows an athlete dedicated to being in peak shape.

As the coronavirus keeps the majority of people indoors, athletes are resorting to home workouts to keep fit before competitive sport eventually returns, and Ronaldo is certainly no different.

The Portuguese superstar frequently posts photos and video clips from workouts at his home gym, but this time it's different as Ronaldo has laid down a challenge to his millions of social media followers.

"Hey guys, I have a new challenge for you to stay active: the Living Room Cup," Ronaldo, 35, wrote in the caption for the video uploaded to Instagram.

"Can you step up and beat my core crusher record? Show me what you got."

In the video, Ronaldo produces 142 reps in 45 seconds. His reps are so quick, the video looks set in fast-forward - except it's not.

Ronaldo says this video is the "first edition" of the Living Room Cup, so it sounds like we can expect plenty more challenges in the coming days.

Check out the video above and see how you get on.
