Bernardo Silva, Andriy Yarmolenko and Chris Wood: Premier League team of the week

Goalscoring defenders were the order of the weekend in the Premier League.

West Ham's Aaron Cresswell curled home a beauty of a free-kick as the Hammers downed a sorry-looking Manchester United at the London Stadium to take them up to fourth in the table.

Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold was at it as well, rocketing a set-piece past Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga as Jurgen Klopp's side won 2-1 to make it 15 Premier League wins in a row.

Elsewhere, Manchester City's Bernardo Silva produced another vintage display as his side breezed past Watford 8-0 - a scoreline which threatened but just failed to match the 9-0 victory recorded by Manchester United against Ipswich Town in 1995.

Reflecting on the latest round of results, Richard Jolly has selected his team of the week in the photo gallery above. To move on to the next position, click on the arrows on the photo, or if using a mobile device simply swipe.
