Angel Di Maria 9, Neymar 8, Kylian Mbappe 6: PSG v Leipzig player ratings

Angel Di Maria scored a goal and made two more as Paris Saint-Germain booked their place in a Champions League final for the first time with a 3-0 win over RB Leipzig.

PSG outclassed the German side at the Estadio da Luz, with Di Maria and the fellow stars of their frontline Neymar and Kylian Mbappe all impressing.

Marquinhos headed the opener, from a Di Maria cross, while the Argentine himself profited from a mistake by Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi to double the advantage on the stroke of half time.

As Leipzig threatened a revival at the start of the second phase, Juan Bernat halted their hopes by heading PSG’s third.

The French side will face the winners of Wednesday night’s tie between Bayern Munich and Lyon in Sunday night’s final in Lisbon.

Ziina users can donate to relief efforts in Beirut

Ziina users will be able to use the app to help relief efforts in Beirut, which has been left reeling after an August blast caused an estimated $15 billion in damage and left thousands homeless. Ziina has partnered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to raise money for the Lebanese capital, co-founder Faisal Toukan says. “As of October 1, the UNHCR has the first certified badge on Ziina and is automatically part of user's top friends' list during this campaign. Users can now donate any amount to the Beirut relief with two clicks. The money raised will go towards rebuilding houses for the families that were impacted by the explosion.”

Who was Alfred Nobel?

The Nobel Prize was created by wealthy Swedish chemist and entrepreneur Alfred Nobel.

  • In his will he dictated that the bulk of his estate should be used to fund "prizes to those who, during the preceding year, have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind".
  • Nobel is best known as the inventor of dynamite, but also wrote poetry and drama and could speak Russian, French, English and German by the age of 17. The five original prize categories reflect the interests closest to his heart.
  • Nobel died in 1896 but it took until 1901, following a legal battle over his will, before the first prizes were awarded.
