Bandar Mohammed's lone strike gave Al Dhafra victory over Kalba and took them to the top of Group B in the Etisalat Cup.
Bandar, who came on as substitute at the start of the second half to replace Ali Al Hammadi, struck what proved to be the winner on 69 minutes.
The victory took Dhafra’s tally to six points from three games, while Al Jazira, who next face Al Wasl, and Baniyas are all on three points.
The Western Region side, who earned promotion to the Pro League through September's play-offs, started their cup campaign with a 2-1 loss to Baniyas, but recovered to stun Wasl 4-0.
