The Friday afternoon assembly at Sharjah Cricket Stadium could not hope for a more crowd-pleasing encounter to start off.
Mohammed Shahzad, who set off this year's event in such scintillating fashion, as he scored a whirlwind 74 in just 16 balls on Wednesday, will lead the way for Rajputs.
In opposition will be the original "Boom Boom", Shahid Afridi, who himself launched the league a year ago when he took a hat-trick with the first three balls he bowled.
While Raputs won their opening game with a scarcely-believable six overs to spare, Pakhtoons lost by eight wickets to Kerala Knights.

Maratha Arabians v Bengal Tigers, 5.45pm
Bengal failed to make it beyond the group stage last year, but they showed they mean business this time around as they destroyed Northern Warriors on Thursday.
Jason Roy switched from four-day cricket to debuting in the 10-over format a day later, to excellent effect. He hit a 29-ball unbeaten 60 in his Bengal debut.
He will be in direct opposition to his long-time England opening partner, who opens the innings for the Arabians.

Punjabi Legends v Northern Warriors, 8pm
Daren Sammy will have to act quick if he is to improve the fortunes of his Northern Warriors, who were listless in their first-match loss to Bengal.
The West Indian captain might want to think about giving UAE leg-spinner Imran Haider a chance this time around.
Haider was left kicking his heels on the boundary as the Warriors’ all-seam attack was savaged by Roy and Sherfane Rutherford.
Wrist spin has shown up well at this competition so far, though, with Sandeep Lamichhane, Pravin Tambe and Zahir Khan all finding success so far.
