When someone says Indian Premier League (IPL), you think of high-scoring games, cheerleaders, deafening noise, a full house, and .... Bollywood stars.

Very rarely have two diverse industries like cricket and movies synergised the way the IPL and Bollywood have. When superstar Shah Rukh Khan bought the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise and Preity Zinta took ownership of Punjab, it was clear that the tournament was going to be much more than just runs and wickets.

This year, the tournament is being held in the UAE and that too behind closed doors due to the ongoing pandemic. Which means fans won't get to see familiar faces in the stands, something they have become used to.
