Chirag Suri and Mohammad Qasim lead One Stop Tourism to Bukhatir League T20 title

Chirag Suri and Mohammad Qasim were the toast of the One Stop Tourism as they edged Unicon Real Estate by three runs in the final of the Sharjah Cricket Council-organised Bukhatir League T20 at the Al Dhaid Cricket Village.

Suri (64 not out off 46 balls) and Qasim (45 off 25 balls) added 96 runs in a third-wicket partnership to help One Stop put 187-3 on the board. Qasim then came back to take two wickets as Unicon fell short by three runs despite a battling 46 from Adnan Khan.

Fahad Ansari, who had earlier scored a 36-ball 41 in 49-run partnership for the second wicket with Suri, took three for 39 with the ball as Unicon were bowled out for 184 in the final over.

While One Stop took home the title, Alubond Tigers made a cleansweep of the individual honours for the tournaments with Shahid Sadique named the best batsman, Asif Mumtaz the best bowler and Rohan Mustafa the player of the tournament.

One Stop Tourism also won the title in Umm Al Quwain, defeating Malik Contracting LLC by a huge 95-run margin in the final of the Trinity Holdings Presents Super Night T20 tournament.

Rohit Singh and Daniyal Shakeel were their top stars in this final, both smashing impressive half centuries in the big win, while Tahir Latif picked up three wickets for the winners. Singh blasted a 44-ball 71 and Shakeel faced only 29 balls for his 52 as One Stop posted a mammoth 215-8 on the board and facing a stiff target, Malik Contracting’s innings folded up in a mere eighth overs for 120.

Meanwhile, NMC started Sharjah Ramadan Cup campaign in style with a thumping 109-run win over Radio4.

Led by an aggressive 32-ball 68 from Fayyaz Ahmed, NMC 185-4 on the board from their 20 overs and then Alam Gir wrecked Radio4 in the run-chase with four wickets for only six runs as they were bowled out for 79 in 19.4 overs.
