Suwon Bluewings miss opportunities

South Korea’s Suwon Bluewings missed three penalties during a crazy encounter against Japanese club Kashiwa Reysol that featured seven second-half goals. Junya Tanaka put visitors Kashiwa ahead, and Ryoichi Kurisawa and Masato Kudo scored two goals each in a 6-2 win in Group H.

Conca lines up Guangzhou’s win

Argentine Dario Conca inspired Guangzhou Evergrande to a 4-0 win over Muangthong United in Group F. Conca started a second-half rout with a 51st-minute header, and finished it with a penalty in injury time. Brazilian forward Muriqui and Gao Lin, right, were also on target against the Thais.
