The Al Ain striker joined the club’s pre-season camp in Austria this week after playing for Ghana against Turkey in an international friendly on Wednesday. He spoke about the season ahead.

What are your first impressions of coach Jorge Fossati? "He is a smart coach. Although a short time has passed with him as a manager, he proved his smartness and can handle players well. As I arrived to the camp he welcomed me and asked me about my condition. Here, everything is available for success especially as the team has excellent players able to get in accordance and understand each other well."

Al Ain open the season against Al Ahli. A great chance to get an early victory over your title rivals? "It will be against a tough and stubborn team but our fans are ready and we are ready, too, for the match. We have to show our best. However, I can't predict what will happen in the match. We only need to double our efforts to hit the target. Such matches are open for all ends."

How do you feel about the departure of manager Cosmin Olaroiu, who joined Ahli? "He is a good coach and can handle the players well. He knows our players well but now we have a new coach with a new style and should do what the new coach asks on the pitch."

Do you have a message for Al Ain fans? "I know they are looking forward to have the new season on and I know the importance of the Super Cup match, but we and you are ready for all challenges and we will do our best to be happy."
