In signature Chanel style, tweed pieces walked the runway at the brand's airport-themed show that took place at Paris Fashion Week last October. One of the designs — a skirt and jacket set in hues of blues with hints of reds and oranges — worn by it-girl-of-the-moment, Kendall Jenner — made an appearance in our fashion editorial for the February 2016 issue of Luxury magazine.

To put our own mark on the classic Chanel look, we paired it with a lace-up peplum top by Alexander Wang, giving the ensemble an added edge. Our model also wore a Saint Laurent chain bracelet and three identical silver Chanel logo rings on her fingers. The look was shot among dramatic gold pipes at a seemingly abandoned construction site in the middle of the desert.

Our fashion team has an unwavering obsession with Chanel tweed sets. To start with, they give a timelessly chic aura when worn together, and make the ultimate fashion week outfit. Furthermore, they can be worn easily as separates, and are quite versatile too. Pair a white blouse with the tweed skirt for a day of meetings, or throw the jacket on top of a jumpsuit for an evening outing. The Alexander Wang top, available at Boutique 1, is equally versatile. Wear it with a pair of skinny jeans during the day, or give the look more attitude by pairing the top with leather trousers. Glitzy accessories and a statement clutch should complete the look.
