SAO PAULO // The efforts of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, towards empowering women economically have been recognised by Dr Maytha Al Shamsi, Minister of State.
This came during the 2015 Global Summit of Women organised this week in Sao Paulo, Brazil, under the patronage of Dilma Rousseff, the country’s president, reported Wam, the state news agency.
The event was held under the slogan, “Creative Women – Creative Economies”, and was aimed at encouraging economic innovation, particularly in women’s economic projects that contribute to enhancing their countries’ economy.
Thirty ministers from around the world participated in the event.
