Name: Louise Parker

Origin: Minnesota, USA

Height: 5'9

Agency: The Society Management, NYC

Career: Modelling for 18 months

Studied: Photography at Bard College, New York

How were you discovered?

I was a freshman in college when I was street-scouted by a photographer named Ryan McGinley. I ended up modelling for him for various shoots, and through him I met more fashion people. Finally, when I graduated, I thought it was now or never to give it a shot.

What has the Cruise collection been like to wear?

Really fun! I had lovely, simple, elegant pieces so I felt very refined. I had a classic tweed suit in gold in three different pieces: trousers, dress coat and a jacket over the top. Then my last outfit was a beautiful oversized black tunic with skinny trousers and a large feather-like brooch.

How long did you have to spend in hair and make-up before the show?

It depends, because when you first get in there are maybe 20 spots for the girls. So if you’re one of the first, it takes the longest I find. I’d say an hour for hair and hour for make-up. However, if you’re one of the last girls in, there might be more of a panic and so you’ll be done in 20 minutes.

Do you have much interaction with Karl before shows?

He pretty much keeps to himself but when you’re having your fitting beforehand he accessorises all the outfits himself. It’s his artistic vision. And he’s not intimidating at all, he’s very nice.

Which piece or accessory would you like to buy from this collection?

Well, I think the jelly shoes are insane! They are really comfortable, too, so they would be a great takeaway.
