On today’s update we have the latest Covid-19 figures, a new law means jail time and fine of up to Dh1m for using fake degrees to get a UAE job and abandoned seafarers have finally been paid their wages after 43 months on board a tanker that ended up stuck in Umm Al Quwain.

Abu Dhabi has shut 325 businesses after workers tested positive for Covid-19, while the Biden administration has approved $197m in arms sales to Egypt.
