The entertainment options in this country have expanded beyond all recognition in recent years. Once a relative backwater when it came to concerts, now dozens of the world’s best-known artists consider Dubai and Abu Dhabi essential stops on their world tours, to the benefit of music lovers here.
But what about the youngest concertgoers? And their parents, who are looking for places to take their children at a time when the summer heat restricts the range of ways to keep them entertained until the time comes for them to return to school?
As The National's Arts & Life section reports today, this sector is also improving fast. The Abu Dhabi Summer Season, a selection of concerts between June and the start of September, features Shaun The Sheep, Barney World Tour and Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music. These acts are to children what Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams and Motley Crue are to their parents, ensuring everyone will be entertained until summer ends.
