Places of worship across the world need constant protection now, as terrorists know no religion at all. People must shun them completely, and their false and diabolical ideologies.

This brutal attack has been condemned across the globe. The motives of the perpetrator will need to be thoroughly investigated, but it appears that religious hatred is the main cause for this tragic incident. New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern expressed deep sorrow for this incident and promised the guilty won’t be spared. I join the rest of the world in praying for the victims.

The racist attitude of Australian senator Fraser Anning showed how extremist ideologies are able to fester today. Shame on him.

Crumbling infrastructure is costing lives in India
The horrendous collapse of a bridge outside Victoria Terminus railway station in Mumbai on Thursday, resulting in the death of six pedestrians, is another instance of crass neglect and poor workmanship by various agencies and officials. Innocent lives are being lost, due to the crumbling infrastructure of Mumbai city.
The malady afflicts many towns in India. The key priority should be to review all major bridges in Mumbai city and other towns and undertake drastic repairs and maintenance.
