I write to you in reference to your article Boeing engine damaged in shipping mishap in latest 777X woe (November 8).

I have heard too many news about aircraft malfunctions this year, we should start considering other options.

Perhaps we should go back to travelling by ship from now on.

Child of ISIS mother should not be made to pay for his parent’s crimes

I write to you in reference to Nicky Harley's piece Child whose mother joined ISIS in Syria reunited with father in Italy (November 8).

Thank goodness authorities have allowed this innocent child to be reunited with his father. His mother may have joined ISIS, but he is only a child who had no choice in this matter.

Australian bushfires are terrifying to see, beware of these catastrophes

I write to you in reference to your piece Scores of bushfires rage across eastern Australia (November 8).

My mother only saw one bushfire in New South Wales when she used to live there years ago.

But she told me that it was a terribly frightening experience. She saw the whole forest take fire.

Michael Bloomberg might be the next American president

I write to you in reference to your article Billionaire Michael Bloomberg considers entering 2020 presidential race (November 8).

Billionaire media mogul Michael Bloomberg is considering entering the 2020 presidential elections, quite late in the race to the presidency.

I believe that Mr Bloomberg needs to have a viable strategy against other democratic contenders, whom he believes do not have what it takes to take down US President Donald Trump.

I wonder if Mr Bloomberg will truly enter the presidential race and if so, will he be able to win the hearts of the American people as US democratic candidate? Only time will tell.

I wish I was in the UAE so I could attend Dubai Design Week

I write to you in reference to Panna Munyal's article A guide to Dubai Design Week 2019 (November 7).

Craftsmanship in the days of artificial intelligence and 3D printing is truly fascinating.

This is one of my favourite creative events in the whole world. I am really an enthusiast of such initiatives. I wish I could have been in Dubai to join.
