President Sheikh Mohamed meets President of Belarus

President Sheikh Mohamed met President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus where they discussed ways to improve co-operation between the two countries.

The meeting was part of Mr Lukashenko's working visit to the UAE, the state news agency Wam reported on Sunday. During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Mr Lukashenko and expressed his appreciation for the Belarusian leader's keenness to develop the relations between both countries.

They also discussed a "number of regional and international issues of common interest". Mr Lukashenko said Belarus attaches great importance to strengthening ties to "foster growth and prosperity for the people of both countries".

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Mohamed Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; and Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State.
