President Sheikh Mohamed says safety and security are the bedrock of UAE society

UAE leader calls on nation's multicultural society to uphold values of co-existence and understanding

President Sheikh Mohamed on Sunday called on people of all nationalities living in the UAE to uphold its values of "peaceful coexistence and understanding".

The UAE leader stressed that "security and safety are the bedrock of our society" in a message on X.

He reflected on the UAE's multicultural makeup and said people who live in the Emirates have a role to play in its development.

"More than 200 nationalities live side by side in the UAE, all contributing to the ongoing development of our nation," Sheikh Mohamed said.

"Security and safety are the bedrock of our society and we encourage everyone who calls the UAE home to uphold these principles of peaceful coexistence and understanding."

Sheikh Mohamed previously underlined the importance of the UAE's diverse population being united in support of the nation's progress.

“The people of the UAE are central to our efforts to progress,” he said in a Union Day address in December, to mark 52 years since the Emirates came together.

“It is through devotion and selflessness towards the nation that true accomplishments are realised.

“Above all, unity and loyalty are the firm foundations laid by the late Sheikh Zayed and his brothers for our nation that underpin our achievements and will continue to do so in the coming decades, God willing.”
