Dr Abdullah Mandoos, executive director of the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, visited the Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology to check the innovative work being undertaken there.
Dr Mandoos spoke to the team making the KhalifaSat, the first satellite to be developed and built by a team of Emirati engineers, praising their work.
Dr Mandoos said that the development of satellite technology for meteorology and seismology in the UAE was still in its infancy and the NCMS can benefit from the institution’s knowledge and expertise.
