Swim, cycle and run along the UAE’s east coast

More than 200 athletes will swim, cycle and run along the UAE’s east coast as part of the Oceanic Triathlon Series on Friday, February 10.

Now in its second year, the event offers two distances. The Short Course category consists of an 800-metre swim, 30-kilometre cycle and 7km run, while the Super Sprint category, aimed at younger athletes and those in the early stages of training, involves a 375m swim, 12km cycle and 2.5km run.

The swim takes place in the Indian Ocean, the cycle leg involves challenging hill climbs and the run will be held along the Khorfakkan corniche.

Registration, which closes on February 5, costs from Dh250 for the Super Sprint category and from Dh305 for the Short Course. There is also the option to stay at the Oceanic Hotel Resort and Spa for Dh500 per room, per night.
