As families prepare for the start of the school term, parents are being reminded to ensure their children have an annual health check-up.
“This is a good time to get their health checked against common and sometimes even uncommon childhood diseases and illnesses,” said Dr Lalu Chacko, chief medical officer at Medeor 24x7 Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi hospital is providing free health consultations and eye check-ups for all children and teenagers from August 15 to September 7. Specialists from several departments, including paediatrics, dental, ENT (ear, nose and throat), ophthalmology, paediatric orthopaedics and neurology, will offer the consultations.
