WATCH: Liverpool star Sadio Mane helps clean toilets of local mosque

The tweet's been viewed over 1.27 million times and retweeted over 10,500 times since it was uploaded to Twitter on September 1

In a tweet that’s since gone viral, Liverpool football star Sadio Mane is seen reportedly helping clean the toilets and wudhu area of his local mosque.

The 26-year-old can be seen helping fill water buckets while also engaging in conversation with the person filming the video. The clip has been viewed 1.27 million times and retweeted over 10,500 times since it was uploaded on September 1.

If the video was uploaded right after it was taken, it would have been after Liverpool hosted Leicester in a 2-1 victory in which Mane scored a goal. According to social media users, the footage was filmed at the Al Rahma mosque in Liverpool.

The Senegalese footballer is a devout Muslim. He reportedly makes du'a before every match and, when he scores, he celebrates by performing sujood – where he gets on his hands and knees and touches his head to the ground.
