Amazon Lighted Leather cover
Amazon itself has designed an elegant cover that fits around the Kindle and hinges like a book. The outside is made of leather, while the inside is made of microfibre to protect the screen. The more expensive version, which costs almost half the price of a Kindle, comes with an LED light positioned above the screen. One problem with this case is that it adds considerable weight to the slender device.

Marware Jurni cover
This nylon cover is reinforced and padded. It feels a bit flimsy at first, but it does a good job of protecting the Kindle. Four elastic straps hold the device in place. It has two zips which work smoothly and feel robust. There's a hand strap on the inside cover, which when folded open helps you to hold the device in one hand. The outside pocket is so small it is only useful for credit cards or cash.
Available from www.amazon.com from $29, (Dh107) plus shipping.
Belkin Portfolio Sleeve
This sleeve protects the Kindle when you are not using it. As such, it doesn't bulk up the lovely trim and lightweight form of Amazon's latest version of the device. The outside is made from neoprene with a faux-leather part which provides good grip. The inside has a soft lining and plenty of padding. It is washable and comes with a year's warranty.
Available from www.amazon.com from $19.99, (Dh73) plus shipping.
