Three-day sale: Cebu Pacific offers Dubai to Manila flights from Dh300

The airline has increased flight frequency between the Philippines and the UAE

Anyone eyeing up a visit to the Philippines next year might want to plan ahead to take advantage of a sale by Cebu Pacific.

The Philippines’ largest national airline has launched a three-day sale on tickets for flights from Dubai to Manila, with base fares starting from Dh20. Factoring in all applicable taxes and charges, this means that travellers can book a bargain return fare for less than Dh300.

The sale starts on Wednesday, September 9, and ends on Friday, September 11, and is valid on flights departing between Saturday, May 1, and Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

The promotional fares are limited and apply to Cebu Pacific's Go Basic seats only. These fare conditions do not include baggage allowance or seat selection. Tickets cannot be cancelled or rerouted but rebooking may be allowed for a fee.

Increased frequency of Dubai-Manila flights

The airline is also increasing the frequency of flights on its Dubai to Manila route. From October, Cebu Pacific will operate the route three times per week, an increase from the current twice-weekly service.

This change is still waiting for regulatory approval. Once confirmed, flights will depart Dubai on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, and from Manila on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Enhanced safety measures have been introduced on all flights, including disinfection of all public areas, PPE uniforms for crew, contactless boarding and compulsory face masks and face visors for passengers.

Who can travel to the Philippines?

At the moment, travel to the Philippines is only open for nationals, residents and those with long-term visas.

Foreigners who are spouses, children or parents of Filipinos can also enter the country. Every arriving passenger must quarantine for 14 days, the first few days of this will be in a government-approved facility, while travellers await their Covid-19 test results.

Travellers flying from Dubai to Manila will have to undergo Covid-19 testing upon arrival in the Philippines. Before flying, all travellers must pre-register and complete an electronic form which can be submitted up to three days before flying.

Travellers flying from Manila to Dubai must have a negative PCR test result and resident Dubai visa holders must also have approval from the UAE’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs. All travellers must have valid health insurance that cover the cost of medical treatment for the coronavirus.
