JLT's newest hotel, Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers, has opened in the Dubai neighbourhood. Opening to guests from Sunday December 8, the 200-room hotel was inaugurated by His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan. The towering hotel has a sleek modern design but nods to both its Indian roots and Middle Eastern location via an eclectic mix of art. Many of the suites in the hotel comes with private balconies overlooking Sheikh Zayed Road, Emirates Golf Club, Dubai Marina or the city skyline. At the top of the hotel is the Presidential Suite, spread across 200 square metres. It comes with a fully-furnished kitchenette, private dining room, office and spa bath as well as fantastic views of the city. Taj guests also have the option of personalised butler service. The hotel is also set to be a key space for events thanks to a large pillar-less ballroom. With capacity for 250 guests, it's the first ballroom in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers neighbourhood. Up on the roof, as well as the hotel's main swimming pool, there is a Mediterranean inspired rooftop pool bar and restaurant called Paros. Shamiana restaurant, a favourite with Taj regulars since it first opened at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, is also now open at Taj Jumeriah Lakes Towers serving a pan-Indian menu accompanied by live entertainment. There is also a bistro cafe called TJ's for casual dining. Travellers looking to stay healthy on holiday, can check out the Fitness Centre at Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers on the hotel's third floor. Open 24-hours a day and stocked with state-of-the-art equipment, workouts here comes with great city views. There's also a steam and sauna room. From now until January 10, 2020, the hotel is running an introductory offer with rates including breakfast, early check-in, late checkout and 15 per cent off at all dining venues.
