The world's first Warner Bros Hotel will be operated by Hilton.

Set to open in 2021, the WB Abu Dhabi on Yas Island is part of Hilton's Curio Collection.

Located opposite Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi theme park, the unique hotel will give superfans the chance to stay in a hotel surrounded by some of Warner Bros' most renowned characters.

A partnership between Abu Dhabi’s Miral and Warner Bros, the $112 million WB Abu Dhabi will span eight storeys, and is already more than 75 per cent complete. On track to welcome guests next year, the hotel will have signature Warner Bros restaurants and an official merchandise store, as well as a family swimming pool and a rooftop pool with views across Yas Island.

The hotel is the first Curio Collection hotel in Abu Dhabi. The Hilton brand is a collection of four and five-star hotels around the world, each with something unique or rare to offer. Dubai's Al Seef Heritage Hotel is part of the collection, as are some rather special hotels around the world including The Trafalgar St James London in the heart of the UK capital and The Central Station Memphis inside a 1914 rail hub in Tennessee.

The hotel is the first DoubleTree in the capital and will be geared towards leisure travellers and families, with options for interconnecting suites and additional in-room amenities.

Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Hotel is also currently under construction on Yas Bay at the southern end of Yas Island.

What is a robo-adviser?

Robo-advisers use an online sign-up process to gauge an investor’s risk tolerance by feeding information such as their age, income, saving goals and investment history into an algorithm, which then assigns them an investment portfolio, ranging from more conservative to higher risk ones.

These portfolios are made up of exchange traded funds (ETFs) with exposure to indices such as US and global equities, fixed-income products like bonds, though exposure to real estate, commodity ETFs or gold is also possible.

Investing in ETFs allows robo-advisers to offer fees far lower than traditional investments, such as actively managed mutual funds bought through a bank or broker. Investors can buy ETFs directly via a brokerage, but with robo-advisers they benefit from investment portfolios matched to their risk tolerance as well as being user friendly.

Many robo-advisers charge what are called wrap fees, meaning there are no additional fees such as subscription or withdrawal fees, success fees or fees for rebalancing.
