The last 20 years have seen a dramatic increase in people carrying more things worth stealing, from expensive phones to credit cards. Fortunately security products have also progressed. While these products do not obviate the basic tenets of safe travel - such as always having good travel insurance and not carrying things you can't bear to lose - they will reduce the risk of things going missing.
