A new design hotel called Form has opened in Al Jadaf - in pictures

It will be the first Dubai hotel to be part of the prestigious Design Hotels collection, and rooms start from Dh349 per night

Right next to the boatyards of Al Jadaf you'll now find Form, a 15-storey design hotel that is the first Dubai option to be a member of the much-celebrated Design Hotels collection.

The furniture inside the hotel is bespoke - crafted by the Paris-based Architecture Studio - and art deco in style, and the rooms are adorned with photography by Nina Dietzel.

The best news is that the hotel, which is an entirely new brand, is very affordable, with room rates starting at Dh349 per night (excluding taxes). Plus, there is a special opening rate at the moment of Dh224 per room. This places it at a similar price point to the Rove Hotels, and there is a Rove nearby in Healthcare City.

Plus, Dubai residents will be pleased to hear that the hotel will introduce three new F&B outlets to the city. There is Roots Kitchen by Parlour, where you will find good coffee, and plenty of vegan, gluten-free and raw treats (that's open 6am to 11pm). Then there is Salus Housetop, the pool bar, as well as a juice and wrap counter at Concept Boutique.

Form also boasts a rooftop pool with a view out to the boatyards of Al Jadaf, as well as a store called the Concept Boutique, which sells design pieces, quirky souvenirs, art, designer cushions and more.

The rooms have rain showers, free WiFi, and promise a comfy bed. The hotel will also host foodie and culture tours. The FORM Art Tour, for example, goes around the city’s art hubs - think street art, galleries and exhibitions, while the Form Architecture Tour looks at some of Dubai's lesser known building gems.

The Al Jadaf area sits just opposite Dubai Festival City near Dubai Healthcare City, it isn't far from Dubai Design District, and is where you will find the Versace Hotel. It is also where the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library is being built.
