Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, and brothers Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, will mark their recent marriages with an official wedding celebration in Dubai tomorrow.

The three brothers announced they had wed in a private ceremony on May 15, but the nuptials are set to be marked with a public celebration at Dubai's World Trade Centre on Thursday, expected to be attended by more than 1,000 people.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, 36, Crown Prince of Dubai, married Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, 35, married Sheikha Maryam bint Butti Al Maktoum. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, 32, married Sheikha Midya bint Dalmouj Al Maktoum.

The last major royal wedding to take place in Dubai was between Sheikha Maryam, daughter of Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and Sheikh Suhail bin Ahmed bin Juma Al Maktoum in January last year.

A year after the event, footage of the lavish ceremony was shared by Sheikha Maryam on her Instagram account. It showed an incredible stage production with dancing amid a richly artistic setting.

Ahead of Thursday’s celebrations, we take a look back at some historic royal weddings to take place across the Middle East.
