Rolls-Royce Dawn Black Badge takes on UAE mountain - in pictures

It's not the kind of vehicle you'd usually associate with desert travel, but Rolls-Royce's UAE team took the marque's Dawn Black Badge model up Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah to show it could handle more than just city streets.

The Magma Red convertible with its classic lines was in sharp contrast to the rocky landscape as it tore up the tarmac to the top of the mountain in the Hajar range.

While the Dawn handled the terrain it was presented with admirably, off-roading remained off the table. The car has a powerful, 6.6-litre 12-cylinder engine, but you'll want something less expensive to repair if you're heading into the dunes proper.
