Finally, from the Nürburgring in Germany, the most comprehensive proof yet that Audi has serious plans to put the "hot" into its small A1 hatch.

This little guy is expected to be the RS1, and though details are scarce, there's a good chance this will get a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine putting out more than 250hp.

Of course, it will have quattro all-wheel drive, but this version of Audi's smallest car will also get a rear wing, flared wheel arches, a front splitter and gaping air vents in the front to help cool the more powerful engine.

Also look for a lowered stance with stiffer suspension, upgraded brakes and a more sporty cabin. Sources think the RS1 will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next year.
