Flying Carrot gets juiced up

WARWICK // Dubbed the world's greenest racing car and sometimes referred to as the "Flying Carrot", a Formula 3 racer built by a group of University of Warwick students will make its competitive debut at Brands Hatch, England next month. The single-seater's seemingly regulation exterior has, in fact, been made entirely from recycled carbon fibre, while the car's steering wheel has been fashioned from the waste of juiced carrots, while its engine runs on biodiesel. The car, officially called the WorldFirst, will race on October 17, though it won't be eligible for points.
