The Swiss jewellery brand’s new Happy Hearts campaign celebrates regional talent

A mother, fitness trainer and interior designer, Saudi Haya Sawan posts her popular workouts on social media alongside daily motivational posts, and spreads awareness about health and fitness. She also coaches women in her boot camp classes in Jeddah.

Shirene Rifai is a brand consultant for several fashion and jewellery brands in her native Jordan, as well as being one of the founding members of the upcoming inaugural Dead Sea Fashion Week, and board member of Dezain, which mentors up-and-coming talents

Saudi fashion designer Nasiba Hafiz founded her eponymous label in 2012 and has since showcased her creations at several fashion events, including Fashion Forward Dubai. She credits her out-of-the-box aesthetic to the eccentric and experimentative dressing style of her parents.

A self-proclaimed shoe encyclopedia, Kuwaiti Najeeba Hayat named her footwear brand Liudmila for her favorite character from Russian literature, Liudmila Rutilova, from the 19th-century tale The Petty Demon.

Kuwaiti footwear designer Farah Sultan looks upon her shoes as works of art. After studying shoemaking in Milan, the Kuwaiti launched Arnaa, a brand famed for the character and elegance of its designs.

Jordanian Nafsika Skourti studied at Central Saint Martins and Ecole Lesage in Paris, and worked at Marchesa in Paris, before starting her eponymous label in 2014 after moving back to Amman with her sister, Stephanie, who was a banker in London.

Swiss maison Chopard has chosen 10 Arab women to star in its latest Happy Hearts campaign. The selected women display a mix of passion, success and ambition in the region, according to Chopard’s co-president Caroline Scheufele, who says: “If I were to associate Chopard with a motif, it would be a big heart because there is a family behind it.”

Happy Hearts is one of Chopard’s most endearing jewellery lines, with the precious heart motifs - seen on all the women who star in this campaign. Hearts can double as talismans of happiness, humanity and, in the case of the latest campaign, aspiration.
