Would it have even been possible to produce an autumn/winter 2017 fashion shoot without highlighting the season's must-have accessory? Probably not. Gucci's bumbag, which is on its way to achieving cult fashion status, simply had to be incorporated in our September 2017 fashion editorial for Luxury magazine.

But while bumbags may get pigeonholed into the realm of tomboys or casual streetwear, there's really no limit to their scope. Here, we team a quilted, embellished style with a floral maxidress and colourblocked sweater. Though the ensemble is predominantly pink and red, Gucci's bug-adorned bumbag gives a luxe and fashion-forward edge to an otherwise ultra-feminine look.

While pink and red may seem like an unexpected duo, it's one that is currently on-trend. If you want to try it out, but aren't so keen on patterns, then colourblocking is the way to go. Opt for separates like midi-skirts, trousers, T-shirts or turtlenecks, in seemingly clashing shades of pink and red. Though it may take some getting used to, we assure you it's a winning combination.
