Fans and collectors of Breitling timepieces in the Middle East will need to move quickly if they wish to purchase the luxury Swiss brand’s latest creation. It’s a variation of the Chronoliner B04, which its maker refers to as the "flight captain’s chronograph", and is limited to 250 pieces worldwide with just 25 heading to the region’s Breitling boutiques.
Breitling is inextricably linked with aviation and this B04, which has an 18K gold case, blue dial and ceramic bezel, is perfect for pilots, accurately measuring flight times and endowed with an entirely practical dual-time-zone system. Also helping with usability on the move, the main hour hand is adjusted to local time by pulling out the crown and turning it either way in single-hour increments, and the watch will change the date in either direction to maintain accuracy at all times. A third time zone is displayed on its scratch-resistant bezel.
The movement is automatic, its power reserve is in excess of 70 hours and the watch is water-resistant to depths of up to 100 metres. Breitling’s reputation for utmost accuracy has been well-earned over the decades and its movements, which are manufactured in-house, are chronometer certified.
