For all that budget plastic garden furniture has going for it - lightness, stackability, washability - it's almost always unstylish. But Ikea's Vago outdoor chair, part of the spring/summer 2012 PS range, is a clear exception.
While the chair has all the usual assets of plastic garden furniture (as well as an impressive price tag of Dh125), it's also very good-looking, with a cool Sixties lounge look we really like.
The rounded curves and laid-back design mean it's also incredibly comfortable to use and, in our opinion, would work just as well as an occasional chair indoors. Add a rug and a couple of perspex side tables and Vago will ensure that you have a chic little lounging area for when its too hot to be on your balcony or terrace. Available in black, white and hot pink, it's in Ikea stores now.
