Okay, so there is probably somewhere in the city that serves a good sweet potato fry, but I dine out all the time and have never come across any. These salty little babies are a standard and welcome option on most pub/roadhouse/middle-of-the-road type food back in North America.
Well, let us wait no longer. The cutest little burger joint ever has opened by the Al Marmoura building, off Muroor and 15th, across from Jones the Grocer, behind the mosque. Grand Central offers waygu beef, organic chicken - veggie!!- burgers, milkshakes, regular fries and the previously mentioned sweet potato version. AMAZING. The service is incredibly efficient, delivery too, the price is right (I paid Dh30 for a veggie burger and a packet of SPFs) and the location is amazing - in the middle of Abu Dhabi, a sort of very tall replica of a train station.
