Tawa Bakery, the gluten-free cafe in Al Muneera Plaza, Al Raha Beach, is dishing up a limited edition cupcake for breast cancer awareness month. Half of the proceeds from the strawberries and cream cupcake, which comes with pink ribbon icing, will benefit Pink Caravan, a breast cancer awareness charity in the UAE. La Serre Bistro and Boulangerie is serving up special patisseries, topped with pink icing ribbon. The rotating menu features sweets such as biscuits and meringue cake pops, complete with a pink makeover. The sweets are available for dine-in or takeaway and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Breast Cancer Arabia Foundation. La Serre is open daily from 6.30am to 10.30pm. The Foundry steakhouse in the Southern Sun Abu Dhabi is rolling out a signature pink brunch on October 28. The pink-themed affair runs from 12.30 to 4pm with 15 per cent of the proceeds donated to Pink Caravan. The hotel is also hosting a pink afternoon tea every day throughout the month. The tea, at Filaments, features pink-hued food including Norwegian salmon on beetroot buns, tuna poke, pink velvet cake, strawberry macaroons and rose petal eclairs.
