Chef Silvena Rowe is launching Nassau, a chic new modern Mediterranean eatery in Dubai this month. The restaurant will open its doors at Jumeirah Golf Estates this November, and is expected to serve dishes from southern Europe and the Levant.

It will be open to members of the golf club from Friday, November 8 and to the public on Wednesday, November 27.

"Introducing Nassau to Jumeirah Golf Estates’ Clubhouse, a new restaurant from the popular Chef Silvena Rowe, taking diners on a culinary tour of the Mediterranean," an Instagram post announcing the new opening reads.

"Drawing on Rowe’s eclectic European-Arabian heritage, diners can expect modern, elegant-dining dishes that traverse the abundant coastlines of Southern Europe and the Levant."

Nassau's design details were highlighted on Instagram:

The interior aesthetic seems to be minimalist with gold and green detailing. There is plenty of greenery in the way of lush plants, with an olive tree at the heart of the restaurant. Floor-to-ceiling windows ensure Nassau is flooded with natural light.

Silvena Rowe's healthy approach to dining

Details about the menu are thin on the ground, but the restaurant has posted a few previews of dishes, including a risotto, tuna tartare, a chocolate dessert and a cheesecake.

Rowe has been posting dishes on her own Instagram and tagging Nassau, so it's expected that plenty of her sweet treat creations will also make their way on to the menu. There are healthy vegan options, such as the chia and raspberry pudding, and indulgent s'mores brownies to try.

The brain behind Omnia, a sugar, gluten and dairy-free cafe at Jumeirah Fishing Harbour, it is expected that Rowe will bring many of these culinary values with her to Nassau.
