A massive truffle unearthed in Tuscany has arrived at Roberto's, one of Abu Dhabi's newest eateries.
Weighing in at 580g, with a market value of Dh130,000, the white truffle was procured by the Al Maryah Island venue’s chef, Francesco Guarracino, and will be used over the next week to furnish its truffle menu.
The “trifola” was hidden underground, below an old oak tree, in the rolling hills of Sienna, before it was sniffed out by a truffle-hunting dog named Bella and her owner.
