Emirati restaurant Seven Sands will launch its second annual Legemat Festival this weekend to celebrate those beloved sweet, sticky dumplings.
From October 15 to 31, Seven Sands will serve up samples of the fried Emirati dumplings in a variety of flavours. Choose from traditional legemat dipped in date syrup or try one of seven other flavours: saffron orange, chocolate filled Nutella, nutmeg honey, cardamom and honey sugar, pistachio, balaleet cinnamon or charcoal. The charcoal legemat (which, we assure you, do not contain charcoal) contain tasteless squid ink to give them a rich, black colour. There are no artificial colours or flavours used in any of the legemat varieties.
During the two-week festival, guests can choose two flavours of legemat for Dh30. Seven Sands is located on The Beach, opposite JBR in Dubai.
